Performance sailing materials don't retire, they evolve. Loop watch straps are crafted from recycled ocean sails and titanium components, designed to be light, thin, and built to last.

A watch strap designed for the sea, engineered for life.
Every Cross Hatch Black x Black strap carries a story - one of ocean miles, wind-driven speed, and the skilled hands of British craftspeople. This is not a strap that was designed in a factory. It was found, donated, cut, stitched, and assembled across a network of workshops and sailmakers stretching from Dorset to Hampshire to East Sussex.
The Materials
The strap is woven from two distinct high-performance sailcloth fabrics, combined to create its signature cross hatch aesthetic.
The first is Baimbridge HSXV in Grey, featuring Vectran in both the weft and warp - a technical sailcloth of exceptional strength and dimensional stability. This offcut was donated by Crusader Sails in Poole, Dorset, sourced locally and saved from waste.
The second is B-GSD in Black, also with Vectran running through both the weft and warp, delivering the same uncompromising structural integrity. This material came from an offcut donated by Sanders Sails in Lymington, Hampshire.
Vectran is a liquid crystal polymer fibre renowned in high-performance sailing for its near-zero stretch, outstanding cut resistance, and ability to hold its form under sustained load - qualities that translate directly into a watch strap that stays put, holds its shape, and ages beautifully.
The Hardware
The tri-glide adjuster is no off-the-shelf component. It was custom designed and precision cut in titanium by Ackerman Engineering in Bridport, Dorset - lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and built to outlast everything around it.
Fastening is handled by 3M Professional Hook and Loop Velcro, the industrial-grade series chosen for its long-term grip retention and resistance to repeated use.
The Construction
Assembly and fabrication carried out by Jarvis Manufacturing in Eastbourne, East Sussex, bringing together every component with the precision the materials deserve.
Fit & Sizing
The Cross Hatch Black x Black is a 20mm hook and loop single pass watch strap design. A titanium buckle, the Velcro folds back over itself to secure the watch firmly in place - providing a clean, low-profile fit that stays secure throughout the day.
Lug width: 20mm - compatible with any watch with a 20mm lug spacing
Total length: 275mm
Ideal for: 7" (approx. 178mm) wrist circumference, with meaningful adjustment range to comfortably accommodate wrists from approximately 6" to 8"

Loop is a watch strap brand built from recycled yacht, windsurf and kitesurf sails, designed and developed in Poole, Dorset, England.
It was created because the founder couldn’t sit idly by while more and more used sails were simply sent to landfill. Inspired by ocean activists such as Holly from Clean Sailors, we set out to find a way to combine a passion for horology, ocean sports and sustainability into something genuinely meaningful. Loop is founder-led, story-driven and rooted in local ocean sports culture, from the waters of Poole to the wider ocean sports community.
